TORONTO, Ont. - A seniors' apartment in the city's west-end is dealing with a bed bug infestation.
Three to six units of the Dufferin St. and Lawrence Ave. building have the bugs. Officials said they are aware of the problem and are trying to deal with it quickly.
Pest control experts have been called in and some mattresses have been tossed out.
Staff members at the apartment are trying to educate residents about the prevention of bed bugs.
Part of the problem is many residents don't want to admit they have bed bugs because of the stigma they believe comes with it.
